You say "they" like its a collective of the same people but its a thousand of different users who know how to program achievement triggers given leniency because they are providing for the site when otherwise no one else would give a shit about those non Mario, etc games to do so.
The fact they even give awards and track stats like this for the "developers" of the cheevos further pushes all these shit sets.
