X360 gpu had unified shaders, unified memory, and a very high speed eDRAM cache to use as scratchpad or tiled framebuffer. It could do 4xAA at zero cost.
PS3 had to deal with bullshit memory limitations and devs had to try running as much code as possible on the GPU so they don't have to deal with the absolute horseshit that was the Cell. Even the 360 was guilty of this since it had the same main CPU core which used in-order execution just like the PS3, but it wasn't as bad because no SPU horseshit and unified memory.
On the PS4 a 1.8GHz AMD Bulldozer could run PS3 games effortlessly because the Cell was so god awful.
