night vision is expensive, and to have a extra camera mounted to a pvs14 or something is more weight than it is worth especially if your helmet mounting that camera. you can get a old gopro or chinise bodycam for under 100$ with pretty good video and weighs basically nothing. adding a monocular to the front of the camera adds significant weight and will complicate mounting. proper night vision cameras are expensive and the cheap ones all rely on near-ir illuminators at wich point you may as well just shoot yourself cause now anyone with 20$ temu "night vision" can see you lit up like a fucking Christmas tree.
