Kinda related but the Kiribati used a shit ton of shark teeth in their weaponry, to the point where a fair few shark species became locally extinct around the Gilbert Islands from over hunting for teeth. I haven’t been able to find the picture for it but I remember years ago seeing examples of shark tooth embedded cestus like hand armour used by them
