That was certainly true with Chuck in Chuang Yi's release of GS: The Golden Boys where he was called Fergus. Fergus was not only the top pick for Chuck's English name before it changed, it survived even on the sheets with the "final" localized names.
I guessed it was also the case for all the different names for the Magma and Aqua Admins in early AG episodes and CY's version of Adventures, but none of the files with the beta names featured them at all.

Probably Closed Captions. The script in FD looks formatted in a way that looks like it's CC.

The FD script says that Mr. Stone was mentioned 3 times. Steven was never called by his full name in that episode, but like the Tumblr post said, one can assume he was called Steven Stanwick in that dub.
