I remember checking this out when it first released and dropping it like ten chapters in because it just had no appeal. It didn't feel anything like the previous work and I didn't really care to see what happened next.
Pretty happy I did that first. I don't know if the writer is planning to try and turn this around somehow but it doesn't feel like a plot development you can recontextualize or anything.
