It definitely would've been a lot more fun if the show followed the lives of horses-who-are-girls instead of girls-who-get-horse-ears. Races, dressage, jumping, archery/shooting, and plenty else not only would've given EqG a distinct feel and identity, it would've been fresh because there really isn't much western horse-related media. It's a real shame we were stuck with yet another high school AU.
