you could've if Activision would've stopped after WotlK and then would've taken a break from churning out new Classic servers.
That would've built up some nostalgia and hype for it again across 6-8 years.

But since 2019 youve had what? 4 different reiterations of 2019 classic? All the while you also have Era and 2019 classic moving into Cata and MoP
Theres no novelty to it. No reason to get excited about it. Now if you want to play wow you have like 5 different versions of Classic to chose from

> SoD
> Anniversay
> HC

So people will jump in and out of them randomly, get their 2 weeks of scratching the wow itch leveling to 30, get bored because theyre either alone or around turbo retards, then move on to other things.
Theres absolutely no way to have some build-up for 2019 classic anymore.
