I'm disappointed at how easy they are failing at this to be honest.

Daipa fails for me because it didn't even try to espouse any philosophical or even philosophy-adjacent themes.
>OG explored themes of an older generation passing the torch to young up-and-comings, and spoke of how such altruistic and selfless values could actually change people (Krillin, Tien and Piccolo being prime examples)
>it's also not afraid to delve into tragedy, killing off important characters and using serious overtones to demonstrate that death has weight even in this fantasy universe
>Z expanded the scope of the adventure and tackled subjects like nature vs nurture and classism (Raditz being viewed as low-class for his birth, Vegeta's elite status losing to Goku's status as a low-class Saiyan), Machiavellianism (Frieza's dictatorial rule), the ethical dilemma of playing God (the use of biotechnology and synthetic biology to create the Androids and Cell), and moral relativism (Buu only doing "bad" things due to not understanding the concept of good vs bad, Kid Buu not truly being "evil" but simply an existence born of chaos)
>GT postulated that over-reliance on mystical help (the Dragon Balls) could lead to humanity growing weaker in the long run--paralleling how many people are content to offer "help" by simply stating that they'll be praying to their chosen higher power
>it also touched upon transcendentalism, with Goku ascending to a higher plane of existence at the end
>Super concerned itself with ethics and perspective, as detailed by Zamasu and Gowasu's tea ceremony and the fact that Zamasu's heart is canonically pure, as he truly believed he was doing good
>the ending of Super was literally a clash of opposing philosophical ideals (Goku vs Jiren) set against the backdrop of a titanic battle

Daima had nothing like that whatsoever. I'm a Dragon Ball fan. I want some intellectual gristle to chew upon, and Daima presented me with absolutely none. It quite literally only appeals to children and slack-jawed, drooling idiots.
