I did not but a pro2. I want the N64 one so I can play N64 on switch with it and PC with an authentic feeling controller. Same with the GameCube controller. You can also use Bluetooth adapters to use them on the original consoles. I use a pro on PC as well an sn30 pro for retro stuff.
