Yep, as bad as it pains me to say it, my M1A is one of my biggest regret purchases even though it was one of my grail rifles.
>bought to configure as a semi-DMR type rifle
>lucky to hit 3-4MOA at 100 yards even with top tier ammo
>too long to be a civvy battle rifle, but too inaccurate to be a long-range DMR
>using a bipod literally hurts the accuracy
>$200 in aluminum just to mount a scope
>heavy af
>ammo other than M80 ball is expensive
>I'm nearly $2000 in and it gets mogged by AR10's that cost half as much
Really at this point the only thing I love about it is that it looks cool. Beyond that, I just kind of feel disappointment every time I shoot it past 100 yards. You have to do WAY too much to these things to even get them as accurate as a $400 AR upper.
