It's because you think horror is about not being in control aka being under-armed and out of your depth versus whatever threat it is you're facing off against but that's also not what horror is about. You look at a game like Killing Floor and think all of the horror elements like the grotesque looking monsters and the indoor environments like the bathrooms with blood splattered everywhere on the floor and walls no longer belong as horror if you're too much of a badass. This is clearly not a universally held viewpoint though judging from other examples of action/horror games and movies.
