Which boss?

Basically for any boss, you do a "trial run" where you use a spyglass to figure out it's weakness and what moves it has and what move it will do on it's magatsuhi turn. Hint: it's always the biggest damage elemental aoe move

Then you probably lose, maybe scrape out a win, but probably lose

Then, you prep.

Form a team that resists, or better yet nulls the enemy's preferred attacking element, has at least 2 people that can hit the enemy's weakness and buy 3x elemental dampeners for their magatsuhi attack element

Then use whatever buffs (team wide) or debuffs (single target) you can, constantly. If your early on, buffs/debuffs are pretty rare/limited, but one good one you can get early is "fang breaker" on Neko Shogun. Weak phys attack with attack down debuff. Just spam that along with hitting weaknesses and using elemental dampeners on the boss's magatsuhi turn
