Indeed, GT7 does a lot of things right. Shame about the career structure falling in the shadow of GT4, and overpriced cars demanding ridiculous grind to get. Still, there is no other game that comes close to it, Forza Motorsport is a joke now.

We don't have to fully agree with those terms to understand what people mean by them. Its still a useful way of categorizing games as different from each other like Sega Rally and RBR. I personally prefer the challenge of taming realistic cars with sim-like physics, but in a videogamey career structure instead of being limited to doing autistic hotlaps in sims or playing multiplayer. GT7 with GT4's career would be a perfect game for me, just like Dirt Rally 3.0 with better tarmac physics, a GT style career, more locations and licensed WRC cars. Its so rare to find a game that has the best of both worlds. I still enjoy arcade racers, though. Burnout Revenge is in my top 10 games of all time and I play it from time to time in PCSX2.
