Only now do I realize how Tim Sale's artwork can sometimes look like Sienkiewicz or Miller art. Weird. Anyway, Blue is an alright story even if it romanticizes Gwen a bit.
Same with The Kiss in Webspinners but that felt more like a real story. And by that I mean, Blue felt like a 00's story transplanted into the 60's while The Kiss felt like a reflection on that era that also acknowledged the realities of that era and retconned it just enough to leave the story with an impact. Also MJ's hair at the end of The Kiss is quite sexy. That design and Parallel Lives MJ are interesting clashes between her 60's and 80's looks.
