Overall I do think Wind Waker did it better, but Twilight Princess definitely had its moments with the Darknut encounters.
Like the ones in the Pit of Trials where you're standing off against two at once, as they slowly approach and you weigh your options, knowing that they'll get way more aggressive once you get their heavy armor off.
