As a kid I used to go on field trips to NASA’s Ames Research Center in San Jose. Now it is going to close. It is the end of an era. NASA was the pride of the American scientific community and a major part of US international relations with other countries. Now it all goes to a private company and Trump donor.

NASA fell off so badly they left astronauts stuck in space for a year and I don't know when the last shuttle went up. That used to be national news.
