After replaying Persona 5, I'm realizing Ryuji really is the worst of the "bro" characters. I'll admit, Ryuji will fucking ride or die for you, but I still find him pretty irritating and written in a stupid way. It's not really fair to Ryuji because he has good parts in the game, but there's too many moments where the game just sets him up to be a total fucking moron even though his confidant/social link 5 minutes ago displayed how mature and reasonable he can be.

It's really, really fucking bad. The guy has level 6 guts and jumps in front of a car to chase after Makoto, but also won't shut the fuck up when he needs to and actively causes problems by being a show off later in the game. Morgana was being a bitch but he was too so it just sucked all around. They had to make up for it later by giving him time to shine on Baldy's ship palace, but then half-assed it right afterwards for a Japanese humor moment.

And holy fuck is his Japanese VA great at sounding annoying as shit. I get what >>713655496 means because the way Ryuji sounds in Japanese can sound surprisingly whiny and bitchy after you've listened to his English VA for a while. It's like a reverse Yosuke with the JP/EN voices.

Yusuke is Persona 5's best and most bearable character and it's not even close.
