It takes someone who over analyses to consciously recognise this, if you do that, I think it does show signs of obsessiveness, which is in my experience worse for the obsessed themselves. If you mean unconsciously sending signals to them that you are submissive and/or easy to control, it depends on how they message. If they take their sweet time and message only like 1 hour after, but you reply immediately it does, yeah, but if it is a minute or so in between then I honestly doubt it has a large if any effect unconsciously.
