electricity cost about 6X more than in the USA. The homes are not insulated at all and difficult to cool and dry out. they ste often designed for fans and circulating air. AC is usually added as an afterthought. You will see nasty shit like your walls condensating like a glass of ice water and molding because of the humidity.
I lived in the tropical States of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Summers as hot and humid as the Philippines. It coats 3X as much to be half as comfortable.
