None of them are perfect, even the good ones have their quirks like com's darkness smelling lines or plot points that just dont make sense when they're introduced, but most of the complaints of being confusing/mysterious and throwing in data and time travel and alternate forms of characters is just a distaste for kitsch.
Its like complaining about the zippers and belts in the visuals, its not for everyone but its on purpose. Same goes all the way to the core of it being disney/FF, like of course its silly but its fun that it takes itself seriously. its the whole point and why things like goofy dying are hype moments.
