If this is true, I find it mind boggling because I watched S2 live and the /ftl/ threads were beyond grim

It was not an optimistic time, and the threads had that kind of negative feeling throughout most of the season. In retrospect I still enjoyed it but I can see why it's such a controversial season and why it causes so many arguments. Saying it's hands down the best season is an extreme position in my opinion
