like you, it helps drowning out bad thoughts and urges. more than that, it gives me peace of mind, or it helps me express my emotions, depending on how i feel and what i listen. i think music is probably the only thing that keeps me sane. playing the songs i love the most also brings me joy, even if i suck at it and then i get sad...

same. i remember in high school i used to listen to this really good singer and he singlehandedly prevented me from dying i think. i wonder if artists know just how impactful their music can be

ive always found the fact that music can indwell so many emotions into one's being incredible. mere sound waves can make you cry, happy, they can revitalize memories. its so weird and beatiful.
