I'm actually sad at the death of .40 S&W, and by extension .357 Sig. Nearly everyone just decided to stop offering their new pistols in .40, and now there are practically zero caliber options to choose from with the purchase of a compact/full size pistol. I was probably never going to buy a .40, but it was nice that consumers had a choice. Same goes for .45.
