Honestly, the more I study jap, the more I appreciate the work of localizators and I think literal translations are actually not ideal. The eop sentiment that localizers should just stick flatly to the text stims from translators being fucking clowns most of the time. It's really a fucked up situation forced by the usual internet drama and overreaction to stuff.
