That's exactly it. They simply get overstimulated because of all the modpacks going around these days that are just stuffed to the gills with the fucking things and because shitty content farms find them easily exploitable. A couple dwellers or dweller-like mods in conjunction with some other stuff makes for a pretty tense experience, without overstimulating anyone to the point of desensitization. I personally find the Mangled Hound and the Anomaly to be pretty cool, as well as the Slumbering Omen (though that one isn't a Dweller mod).
