>If you're bouncing off of CP2020 and Red this hard
I don't feel that way about it. From what little I've played recently, it's alright, granted I'm doing it pbp.
>Complicated stuff
It depends on what system you get into. Driving cars and netrunning can make things more complicated, but you can truncate a lot of that stuff into the realm of imagination. Not everything has to be a complicated math problem played out on grid paper.
>you're not gonna find anything in Shadowrun
Most of my love for Shadowrun was sparked by Shadowrun Returns. The music and atmosphere in that game were an entire mood. It blends Fantasy elements and cyberpunk in a fairly cohesive way, and it's an unconventional mixture of elements that you don't see often in media. I think the only thing that comes close is the Netflix movie Bright. I've not even watched it, but from the trailer, it gave me some low-key Shadowrun vibes.
Also, Shadowrun Returns offered up a nice Troll Waifu.
