It's a child, you don't have to put it in code anywhere, it automatically follows the parents transform.
Of course if you want it to sync up then you have to manually move it with code. Godot's philosophy of how it should function is fundamentally broken and this should have been apparent 20 years ago when juan was working on the bones of the engine.
