>Is the average eroge just a product made to sell?
The short answer is no. If all you care about is money, there are much easier and faster avenues than eroge.
To give a more nuanced answer, I think a lot of people high up on the creative ladder feel really hamstrung by dealing with increasingly heavy censorship, and trying to make something profitable so that the studio can stay alive, while still respecting the creative freedom of the team working under them.
Then the further down on the rungs you go and the less responsibility there is, the less pressured they feel by our current creative climate, to the point where you eventually get to grunts on the bottom like bug testers and seiyuu and art assistants/writing assistants who feel almost no pressure at all and are just super psyched that their job is making or doing the thing they love.
And I think a lot of modern eroge and otaku media in general reflect that, with big ideas sometimes feeling compromised or watered down, but with the little details being as passionate as ever.

It's alleged that Israel used shipping containers with false roofs for their drone operation, I don't know what Ukraine did.
Onto your point though, yes a drone attack within the United States is within the realm of possibility
