I'm still banking on her coming to a realization in the next issue or two: she herself pointed out how unusually dark the tone had gotten already in #1, surely she'll have to see that she herself is being made to act somewhat unnaturally
It reminds me of this bit where she fought Deadpool where she pointed out to him he was just playing a role given to him by the story and they broke free of it, hope something like that happens for Gwen when she realizes the tone and how she and everyone's acting.
