I've found that 2020s Hetalists trend chill overall.
I feel like rabid Charlottesville rightoids who can't keep the politics in their pants wouldn't be attracted to Hetalia in the first place because it's so gay and girl-coded in the writing (Himaruya is a real miracle). I think it'd actually be weird if they weren't chill.
I think Hetalia being so problematic also kinda keeps away some of the more intolerantly puritan hordes of leftie Twitter antis, which is nice, though some "proshippers DNI" folks do slip through. I should know, I follow some.
Being into Hetalia inherently means having some degree of shitlib "art for art's sake" thinking in your noggin, which is also nice, those types tend to make the best fanart for every fandom, and the oodles of great art is a good goddamn reason to stay in this fandom
