Just understand that they are different games, Silent Hill 2 Remake is not Silent Hill 2, if you play that and only that you didn't play Silent Hill 2 you played a game from 2025 that simply shares the same name.
Imo you should play both, or at least the original, it's a short game anyway and is easy to emulate. Simply grab PCSX2, grab a Rom and you're all set. that way you can continue with SH3 and give a try to 4.
