Chill at the frontline helping your Vanguard. If enemies jump on your backline you go and hump them to death. If there's an oppurtunity to go big mode and dive the enemy backline when in the front, you do so.
Sometimes it can be worthwhile to stall.
But know your tools, know how durable you are (you're not immortal, especially when focused) and avoid needless deaths. You're one of the best 1v1 heroes so sometimes putting pressure on certain enemies you notice at the best on their team can be worthwhile.
