Yes, and I say this as a G-Witch fan. There absolutely are people who take the yuri couples extremely seriously and will get hostile over it, and these people can especially be found on Xitter. Usually, these loonies will be absolutely triggered by any mention of male characters in the show. Just show them a picture of Guel or comment something positive about the character, and they'll become absolutely rabid. The looniest of them are probably still to this day harassing the official Xitter account of the show over the entire interpretation debacle. These people are usually either Westerners or Chinks, and many still believe that S2's story was changed by the suits to push Guel as a character, and that any merch featuring him, Elans or Shaddiq, is a loss for them and confirmation of the secret agenda. For them, shipping is literally a political statement. Don't get me wrong, chill yurifags and Sulemio shippers exist, but you don't see them as often because of the loud and toxic portion.
