Shows that GSG fundamentally doesn't understand why DRG is great and why it's success was a total accident.
DRG is the best PvE game because you don't need to rely on other players to win. It's far more boomer shooter than a squad game.
Besides leeches and sometimes grabbers there are (currently) no "freeze" enemies that can kill you by just taking away your ability to do anything and chip damage you to death, unlike other PvE's which are full of enemies like that to force players to stay together.
High level play isn't locked behind autistic hamster wheel number generation. You don't need to find a Purple Tier Legendary Boomstick with +XX% to Stagger and +XX% to explosive damage to remain viable, you can beat haz 5 with no mods.
Fun 3d movement and terrain destruction.
(Mostly) non-bullet sponge enemies.
Only 2 missions (which, not coincidentally, are the worst ones) can be lost by means other than the entire team dying.
You average player in DRG is a megashitter but it doesn't matter because you don't actually need to rely on them to win. It makes the missions a fuckton easier, yes, but so long as some fag doesn't call down all the resupplies at once and eat them all himself every single mission can be solo'd by even a competent player.
Rogue Core is going in the opposite direction of what made DRG great. It's hilarious that they are making forced squad reliance and decision making a thing, when anyone with 20+ hours in DRG can tell you 90% of the player base in any game are useless turboshitters. I honestly can't see RC doing well, from what I've seen it has every single design mistake every other generic Rogue-like/PvE game has.
