i like the idea of going around the world collecting the cards, buying/trading/finding them, however it works.
someone also made a program reimplementation of that KotOR card game but you can just pick whatever cards, in the actual game you're like "holy hell i found a +5! now i will win all the games in the cantinas"

maybe i will play the 3D Final Fantasies some day. tried to replay FF7 with all the modern PC software. worked great, but the game itself is just so. fucking. slow. all the transitions to get into battles and things.
the 2D ones didn't have that, so i am blaming intentional design choices here.
