But unlike Bake, something is not right with the town and you wonder if Yoshi is being "tampered with" here. Araragi seems to feel like he has more of his own unique free will, but in Hikaru it's very clear that Hikaru's own will is being fucked with and merged with the monster and that something is "infecting" Yoshi, especially after Hikaru tried to "go inside" him. Did you see the sinister look Yoshi had after that scene in the final scene in the bedroom? He's been changed and it's not just love or his will, it's the monster manipulating him.

But is this a pitcher plant situation?
Or is the monster really just trying to get along with him?
I think it's the former. This monster is FUCKED up and terrifies the fuck out of me with how he's manipulating Yoshi.
