I bulk buy chicken filets on last sell by date for 75% off and put them in the freezer. Once a week I buy a big load of onions, and sometimes white button mushrooms because it's so healthy.

Then I make slow boiled chicken soup with meat and diced onions plus a couple big handfuls of whatever is growing in my balcony garden. Almost always a massive wad of chopped chives because it grows big and strong in a 50cm pot. Couple spoons of spices, including chili powder.

It's delicious, healthy, each meal prep gives me 2 meals, and in total I pay as much for food in Norway as a person living in a poor african country.

Anyone got a better system? I'd like to see it.

(of course I change it up from time to time depending on what meats are on deep discounts.)
