The Relic system feels like it's shooting itself in the foot
Presets from quests, shops, and bosses are just way better than anything you get from randomized relics. You could grind hundreds of hours and still not get even a single relic that can replace the shop Gaol relic for example. Every ergite I play with is running 2-3 presets and MAYBE one randomized relic in their third slot (usually with the third trait being a complete waste and irrelevant on their character). Just feels like the system is at odds with itself.
They want you to "chase" the god relic and do lots of runs, they want you to engage with the system, but there's no algorithm for rolling synergistic traits, no big money sink that lets you influence or modify relics. Just a big junk drawer of shitfuck effects some of which not a single character even wants.
Quest relics being the only way to get two character specific traits on one relic also shoots variety as well. Again, at least throw in some super endgame murk sink that we can use to get that on our normal relics.
