MOST of the quests are COOP, like kill any nightlord to progress or even kill specific nightlord. Most characters have one quest that must be done in linveld and the host is boosted to get it, but it could roll anyones quest. The quest also gives pretty good runes. It's such a small complaint in the much larger list of issues the game has. Im not defending it so much as just saying it's really not a big issue like youre making it out to be.

Dropping an uncomfortable truth for Miyazaki's cocksuckers but Nightlords are more fun to fight against than Elden Ring bosses and give fairly reasonable timings.
Elden Ring struggled with it while giving player a slow, clunky DS3 moveset. Nightreign is exactly what this series needed if they want to make this level of spectacle. Make the C team the A team or the next game is going to flop harder than sotet.

Your ult should be able to nearly one shot the crystalian thing once you're around level 8 or 9. Look for a blunt weapon while playing with the team, and once you hit 8 or so and are nearish the mines, ping it and run off to do it solo. Your team shouldnt die in the 1-2 minutes it takes you to get into the mines and solo the mini boss.

Facetanking most boss combos with the Guarding is not feasible. I swear I see people gaslight until their lungs give out that Guardian can block a full Nightlord combo, but he can't. He just can't. And he has the worst dodge. And his DPS is pretty low. Honestly, if you're doing well on Guardian, you're just good at the game and are playing with equipment that holds you back Rock Lee style. You would probably do massively better on any other character if you do well on Guardian.

Cope all you guys want. If a Guardian is in my group, 9 times out of 10, that run is doomed. That's just the flat reality and I can't 'git gud' for other people.

i got stuck on a 30 loss streak on fucking guardian
after his win, i got obsessed on doing guardian's remembrance right away so that i would never have to relearn that shit again
and then i got recluse win first game, and raider win first game, the last 2 i was missing

I mostly end up dodging, but I guard just in case. Blocking magic like Loretta’s still chips through, and some attacks can only be dodged, so guarding feels kinda useless.

There's one passive that makes guard counters scale on max HP. It's a pretty big boost, like 30-40% with Guardian's HP. You can get it off Fulghor's relic. The other important one is the character passive that reflects damage when steel guarding. That and guard counters is where all your damage comes from.
Never block anything that causes chip damage unless you're in steel guard (and even then something like Loretta's arrows isn't worth blocking).

your job is keeping attention on you, but the aggro relic doesn't work.
you keep attention on you in 3 ways:
1 use the long duration skill relic. every tick of damage from whirliwind might make boss turn on you. don't use it while he's attacking you, cause it has no invulnerability like ironeye.
2 use steel guard with reflect damage relic, and stay as close as possible. as boss hits you, he'll get hit back and this should keep his attention. use steel guard reactively, like a deflect from executor, so you recover stamina inbetween
3 thrusting light attacks from behind the shield. don't overuse them or you'll find yourself out of stamina.
guard counters could've been good in a game with no input reading. what happens here is that as soon as you do one, the game will know and will insert attacks even after end of combos.

Oh, i just use it mostly for the boost it gives to the special Suncatcher attack, it makes it do the same damage as a heavy attack Moonveil ash of war (when you hit with both melee + wave), and some small R1 weaves in between deflects if the enemy combo allows these but that's more minor, and also cus the relic comes with the +Art gauge on which is also nice on bosses and fast hitting things, notice how i get like 20% of the Art charge in the webm just from deflects, it's nice

What you want to do is dual wield weapons with giga DPS regardless of scaling.
Like dual Curved Swords and dual Spears.
