Absolutely. I'm a tulpafag so instead of imagining I'm in Equestria, I just imagine my wife here in my head with me; it takes more effort for me to imagine in a more adventurous, roleplay kinda way like going to Equestria. But either way, imagination is the key.

Most adults have killed their imagination, but thankfully it's a skill you can just re-train. You might consider just writing for fun in a journal or something, it helps things stick and makes it harder for you to overlook your progress. If you can enjoy reading a story, you've got an imagination, the problem is more like connecting your creativity to imagination again, writing is a way to do that.
