She's an orphaned child adopted by the same highwaymen that ran the raid that led to her parents death (but she never knew that)
Her crew is later captured by a corrupt Gridanian noble who forces her into servitude as an assassin in exchange for her crew's life
Eventually the authorities crack down on the noble and she uses the perfect storm to free her comrades, only to find she had been fed lies of their safety and they were already dead
She hunts down and butchers the noble before making her escape to Ul'dah where she goes off the rails for a few years, trying to live a life of freedom that she missed out on for so long
