Why not just pray to god directly? Why do i have to go through a jewish broker to get my prayers through?

Later in Acts 9:31, the church throughout in judea, galilee, and samaria grew in strength and numbers.

Were there other christjews that were also zealous for the law after the death of jewsus? Yes.
ananias is described as a christjew that had a vision with jewsus and as a devout observer of the law (torah-observant).

>In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, “Ananias!”
Acts 22:12
