I don't "tile floors" per se but I used to work a job at nights where I would polish pipe, spit on it and rub it til it's spotless ya know? Knee pads suck dick imo, some pipes would take like 30 minutes to polish and my legs would be falling asleep because of how hard you have to strap them around your knees to keep them from doing what they want. I much preferred pic related for polishing pipe. They were great because sometimes I would have to change positions and I'd be on my side or back and it was much more comfortable to lay on the pad. The only drawback is sometimes I'd have to polish multiple pipes so I'd have to move around a lot and I couldn't drag the pad around because I'd have a different pipe in each hand. YMMV
And "tiling" 17 "floors" a night Nissan pretty impressive, most pipes I've polished was probably only 10 but that's counting each group of pipes as 1.
