What's a good make and model of knee pads? Recently, I've been experiencing some knee pain from "tiling floors". I used to be able to "tile" sixteen or seventeen "floors" in one night when I was younger, but now I struggle to "tile" just a few "floors" before my knees start aching. I'm willing to invest a pretty penny into some good quality knee pads, considering I "tile floors" pretty much daily.

any old foam works, for a while. eventually the foam compresses and you have to replace them.
personally i like honeycombed rubber inserts like steelflex but they can be bulky.

I don't "tile floors" per se but I used to work a job at nights where I would polish pipe, spit on it and rub it til it's spotless ya know? Knee pads suck dick imo, some pipes would take like 30 minutes to polish and my legs would be falling asleep because of how hard you have to strap them around your knees to keep them from doing what they want. I much preferred pic related for polishing pipe. They were great because sometimes I would have to change positions and I'd be on my side or back and it was much more comfortable to lay on the pad. The only drawback is sometimes I'd have to polish multiple pipes so I'd have to move around a lot and I couldn't drag the pad around because I'd have a different pipe in each hand. YMMV

And "tiling" 17 "floors" a night Nissan pretty impressive, most pipes I've polished was probably only 10 but that's counting each group of pipes as 1.

For me it's when I finally get to lay on my stomach and the pipe starts polishing itself.

Going to go ahead and ignore the innuendos. Knee pads really are based on what you are doing, but the main thing is that they actually stay on and dont droop or fall. Also need to consider whether they will damage the surface you are working on.

For me, a stone guy working indoors, picrel gel has been my go too, BUT...
Anonymous No.2915295 [Report] >>2918084
I recently found picrel and they have very comfortable connection points unlike so many other kneepads I've had in the past. solid pair.

be wary of anything with a hard plastic outer shell, especially these hinged fuckers.
if the pad shifts the wrong way, and it will, that plastic lip wedges directly under your kneecap like a crowbar
Anonymous No.2915480 [Report]
>>2915293
Yeah, drooping is no good in my line of work. You could say I'm kind of an inside rock-hard guy myself.

What a way to ostracize yourself from the rest of the tradesmen.

Most tradesmen are fags, slapping eachother on the ass and telling their coworkers they want them to suck their dicks.

If you think that would scare anyone you are projecting quite a lot. At most the random pride joke would be thrown at you. Also I use built in kneepad pockets in my trouser. I can easily change between pads for long "sessions" on my knees and impact rated pads for shorter "sessions" when working multiple "sites".

What is the real meaning?
Is it skating? Or is it sucking dick?
Anonymous No.2919733 [Report]

Those are roller derby knee pads, so fairly inline with their audience.
They are not skating around it.

>"sites"
Working from home is the best decision I ever made. You need to be more cautious with your clientele because you don't to invite them into your shop and have them make a mess of everything. But it makes things so much easier, even though my neighbors are starting to complain about the amount of packages that I get at all hours of the day. It's nice though, I can wake up when I want, have my coffee, go into my "shop" and grind pole all day. Because it's mostly the same clients I didn't have to worry about my safety or getting exposed to the wrong thing by traveling to different "sites"

Sure sounds like a good deal not having to work multiple "sites". Myself i work in telecom where we sometimes have to work multiple "towers" during the day. We work in pairs, one doing the tower, the other working the ground for "safety". If the "tower"guy gets tired we can switch, but usually we just take turns when we get to a new "tower".
Anonymous No.2920134 [Report]
>>2920105
You telecom guys are crazy. I've heard stories about the things you have to stuff in your "pockets" and it makes me sweat. I couldn't imagine being on too of one of those steel erected towers riding it and having something the size of one of those head sized light bulbs clenched between my thighs knowing there's only one way to go down.
Anonymous No.2920973 [Report]
My coworker turned me on to these. Put em roght in the double knee in my carhartt work pants. Fuck chaffing up my legs on these bullshit knee pads that you end up throwing off in five goddamn minutes. These things are dope. I work in air conditioning.

I unironically just watched a guy kneel on that exact pad and polish a pipe for 2 hours and I remembered this post. Not purely a pipe, it was part of a heat exchanger but it was long and round. He spit on it too lmaoooo
