No lie, it was supposed to be MtG the Manga that got started in 2002 along side the card game of the same name, but it was quickly gaining popularity with kids that some people theorize that WotC gimpped it in 2006 in fear that the players for it wouldn't move on to OG MtG. It then got relaunched as Kaijudo, before getting the axe again in 2014. Over in Japan, it never stopped growing, even getting to crossover with Megaman BattleNetwork in 05.
