Doesn't this de-confirm that Kris lost the red horn headband in the Shelter or anything like that?
Toriel says Kris wore the head band for "months". Kris's sprite never changes in this scene, both after Dess disappears and after Asriel disappears, which is a span of years. So the red headband was done with before the important events of the game.
