There's actually a big PokeSpe collaboration event happening around now over in the Japanese side of the fandom. Too tired to stick all of JP Twitter in a translator to find out what's exactly going on, but there's also just a lot of new fanart going around all at once.

Meanwhile on the western side of the fandom, the manga is much more niche and many of the active fans are freaks who don't create anything. It's weird, even the Vietnamese mangafags create things.
