>I could have liked an argument, but ok.
I honestly consider the argument I DID give was more than enough to understand the problem.
In Outer Wild the time-loop work because you don't need to talk to peoples, and it's ok to relive the same event because the star system is extremely creative with time based mechanic easy to exploit with spaceship. The whole plot is also to accept death and leave it all behind
In a Stargate setting, you need a lot of discussion, you wouldn't appreciate all your hard-work (diplomacy or combat alike) to reset as if nothing happened. If the loop is very short you wouldn't have the time to end-up with events like this webm.
Finally, travel time to areas is literally gated, then you can only walk.
So best I give you:
HUB design with SG-base to resupply rarely, shit happening locking the gate or making you lose the gimmick to open the Iris.
A need to travel between a few planets to gather information, do local quests, get help
etc
