Invader Zim creator is a troll in the old jokester sense, when asked “what is it like to work at Nickelodeon his answer was “It’s horrible, I’m in Hell! HELL!” He call his fans “screaming goblins” but every time I see fans talking about when they met him he was super nice even if a bit trollish. He clearly likes anime as he makes references in Invader Zim for example the giant hamster fight referencing Evangelion. He say outrageous remarks to shake the people interviewing him specially if he thinks they don’t give a fuck and are just question machines. If you check interviews with him it is full stuff like the one in your post, about owning slaves or practicing self harm because his fans can’t type a sentence right.
